About Landcare QLD
Creating a sustainable, healthy, productive and beautiful Queensland

Since 2002 LANDCARE QUEENSLAND has been focused on creating a sustainable, healthy and productive State.

Our goal is for a healthy and productive landscape where tourists and residents enjoy our rainforest, reefs and beaches; farmers enjoy productive, sustainable landscapes and vibrant rural towns; and our children can swim and fish in local creeks.

We recognise that education, training, support and financial resources are required to make the necessary changes required to build a healthy and sustainable future for our State.

LANDCARE QUEENSLAND provides training, resources and funding for over 300 LANDCARE Groups that comprise more than 60,000 people across the State, in support of such projects as:

- Facilitating neighbouring farmers to complete property plans

- Bringing together indigenous people to talk about caring for country

- Restocking creeks and rivers with native fish

- Protecting and rebuilding habitat for endangered species such as the Earless Dragon, Mary River Turtle; and Bridled Nail Tail Wallaby.
